PRESCHOOL - AGES 3-4
An introduction to movement for youngsters, including tap, preballet, creative movement, singing, rhythms and tumbling.

KID HIP HOP Lighter Hip Hop dancing for youngsters age age 6 and up. Learn basic moves and techniques. Fun steps for the younger set.

COMBINATION
Ages 5-8. A basic introduction to the various dance forms, including ballet, tap, folk dance, pre-jazz, musical theater, tumbling, acrobatics and others giving the children a technically proper beginning for dance work while allowing them to experience various dance disciplines and encouraging creativity.

HIP HOP I Intermediate level for dancers age 10 and up. Terminology and harder moves introduced.

TAP I
Students graduating from combination classes. May begin at age 8whilestill in combination class and wishing extra work. Elementary level advancing from beginning to intermediate.

HIP HOP II Upper
level street dance with break dance and popping. Learn proper
techniques with Hip Hop attitude, culture, and steps. Add some fashion
in there too.

TAP II
Students advancing from combination classes or teens with limited tap experience, lower intermediate to intermediate level.

OPEN HIP HOP Class
for exercise and recreation. Learn basic moves and club dancing,
gradually advancing to harder steps. Hip Hop, break dance, and popping
for adults with a little or a lot of dance experience. Learn to dance
with groups or on your own. Catch up on the Hip Hop attitude, culture,
and fashion.

TAP III
Students advancing from Tap I or Tap II, upper intermediate level for any age.

KID ACROBATICS For
ages 5 and up. A fun approach to acrobatics, tricks, and tumbling.
Learn basic acrobatic skills. Gain body strength and control. Keep a
growing body limber.

TAP IV
Students advancing from Tap III, advanced level for any age. Complete grasp of tap terms, leading to professional level. Command of terminology and rudiments is taught.

KID BATON For
young beginning students with no baton training. Students learn the
rudiments of baton twirling, parade performance and drill dancing.
|
|
BALLET I
Beginning ballet students or those graduating from combination classes. Basic ballet technique is enforced with new movements introduced and vocabulary enlarged.

BATON Intermediate and advanced twirling skills with dance and marching, individual and group work.
|
|
BALLET II
For students with some ballet background. Reinforces Level I and adds more movement and vocabulary. Builds on previous level. An intermediate level.

GALAXY DANCE TEAM Performing
Troupe for baton. Middle and High School. Learn intermediate and
advanced twirls, perform often, attend competitions. Perform routines
with twirling, drill, and dance.

BALLET III
More precise technique is required, expanded vocabulary, more intricate movements, an upper immediate level, must attend twice weekly.
|
ADULT DANCE CLASSES Ballet, tap, and jazz classes for adults are scheduled on demand including various levels for beginners through advanced.

|
BALLET IV
An advanced ballet level. Extensive vocabulary usage. A strong dance body is required. Performance level dancing. Students must attend 2 or 3 classes weekly.

BALLROOM Classic standard ballroom technique is learned as well as new dance steps. Classes are held for varying levels from beginner to advanced. Concentration is on waltz, swing, two step, and tango.

JAZZ I
Approximate ages 8-12. For students graduating from combination classes; pre-teens taking jazz only and combination students desiring extra jazz. Elementary level begins expanding basic jazz terminology, emphasizing proper technique.

PERFORMING TROUPE Extra performing opportunity
for ages 7 & up. Audition required for admittance. This group
concentrates on performance techniques and dances, requires extra
rehearsing and costumes.

JAZZ II
For students advancing from Jazz I, and new teens. Lower intermediate level. Students will apply basic principles and master the movements for those concepts.

DANCE EDUCATION Intended
for Middle and High School. Covers dance history, dance artists,
current events, music, choreography and other pertinent areas.

|
JAZZ III
For students advancing from Jazz I or II. Students in Jazz IV wishing extra technique work. *All these students must take at least one ballet class per week. Intermediate level intended for students with a strong muscular base involves demanding routines and exercises.

BELLY DANCING
Reduce your waistline, gear toward a professional career, or just have fun. Authentic Middle Eastern dancing with beautiful music. Learn basic and advanced moves, dancing with scarves, and proper wrist and hip movements.

JAZZ IV
For advanced students. *All these students must take two ballet classes per week. Advanced Level Style and performance become the working factors, knowledge of the world of dance is expanded

CLOGGING Basic
and intermediate clogging steps, traditional and newer movements used,
levels offered for beginners and those with previous experience.

|
TEEN JAZZ Class for dancers who are not full time students, or teenagers with a limited dance background.
|
PRAISE DANCE A lyrical form of dance and movement. Used for worship services or personal experience.
|
|
|
YOGA For
inspirational movements for mind and body with corresponding background
music using the Hatha Yoga Method, focus on awareness, relaxation,
and conscious breathing.
